CanopyChat Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of CanopyChat. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Founding Membership
Founding Membership is a one-time contribution of at least $10 that provides access to CanopyChat's private beta on iPhone and Android, subject to the applicable beta distribution requirements. iPhone access is distributed through TestFlight; Android access is distributed through closed Google Play testing and may require approval using your Google Play account email. It includes three months of Premium access beginning when beta access is activated, not when payment is made. Founding Membership payments are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. This payment does not begin a subscription or authorize future charges. Any later subscription requires a separate purchase and your explicit approval.
Subscription
CanopyChat Plus is offered as a monthly auto-renewable subscription for $9.99 per month, unless a different price is shown in the App Store purchase sheet. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Apple Terms
Purchases made in the iOS app are processed by Apple. Apple's standard terms and subscription rules apply, including the Apple Standard End User License Agreement.
LLM Output
CanopyChat uses large language models (LLMs) that may produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unexpected output. You are responsible for reviewing responses before relying on them. CanopyChat is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or emergency advice.
Web Search and Sources
When web grounding is used, CanopyChat may summarize third-party sources. Source availability, ranking, and accuracy can vary. You should verify important information directly with the original source.
User Content
You are responsible for prompts, files, photos, and other content you provide. Do not use CanopyChat to violate laws, infringe rights, create harmful content, or misuse another person's private information.
Availability
Features may change over time. Local inference performance depends on device capability, available storage, battery state, and iOS behavior. Web-grounded features require network access.
Termination
We may suspend or limit access if the app is misused, if required by law, or if continued operation would create security or platform risk.
Disclaimer
CanopyChat is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, and non-infringement.
